The Tapestry is a mixed-use, 4 x warehouse conversion home to not 1, BUT 3 fantastic events spaces; on the 2nd floor you will find Scale, which boasts a generous 3500ft2 versatile space for photography, film, conferences, weddings, wellness and more! Scales sister company, Fabric Studios is perfectly located on the ground floor with a drive-in infinity cove, kitchen studio and event space. Perfect for a variety of events, weddings, filming and photo shoots.
Last but not least, the DoES Liverpool Events space on the 1st floor. A private meeting room well suited for creative meetups, a teaching space and get-togethers, you can ‘host your own event’ in DoES’ rustic multi-functional space, white wall and protector included in hire…but that’s not all that DoES has to offer…
DoES Liverpool, also conveniently located on the 1st floor, is a fantastic friendly co-working space for every type of worker in a stimulating environment with cozy breakout areas to relax and network.
Not only do they have super-fast robust Wi-Fi and unlimited tea and coffee (Sign me up now!) they also host a number of fantastic workshops for all to attend such as a repair café, maker day/nights and plastic playgroups!
Let’s talk about air quality, how green is your community? Aeternum (an American company) who are on the mezzanine space off the ground floor, will tell you! Aeternum is a tech company that focuses on helping us make better decisions about our environment by monitoring the amount of pollution that exists in the air we breathe and the health of our climate, by building a network of small sensors and placing them throughout our community (they also run off solar power!).
They measure the air, analyse the quality and provide the tools to help us take positive action to improve our environment and make it less harmful. We actually have one of these clever gadgets on our roof! – just doing our bit!
If you can manage to walk straight…out of these spaces after a good night, we can’t guarantee that you can get yourself out of GameOver! GameOver is an Escape room experience like no other! Located on the ground floor, with its own entrance on Kempston Street, you have 6 popular film/series-themed rooms to choose from such as Jigsaw and Squid Games.
The rooms are set up so you can’t get out. Only a series of clues together with logical thinking will help you! Do you have what it takes? Advisory escape room first, celebratory drinks later!
And we’re still going….
OMGGG if you are going to say yes to the dress, I guarantee you will find your PERFECT dress at Flamingo Boulevard on the second floor.
Not only do they have a fantastic range of Wedding Dresses (inc. minis!) they have shoes, they have capes, they have veils, they have bridesmaids dresses, they have prosecco…they HAVE IT ALL!
They are the one-stop shop for your fairytale wedding attire needs (no suits insight, soz!).
Did I say we were done?
Nice Guy, the umbrella company for Fabric Studios (you know, the one with the infinity cove), also has a bar area and 1st-floor office spaces they sublet out.
These spaces are independently accessible via Gildart and Constance Street and offer clean-cut work and play spaces! Of course, they are already snatched up! You snooze you lose!
The Tapestry really does have it all – including a community defib outside!
Just a small piece of The Tapestry history before you go… after taking ownership of the 4 Warehouses and courtyard in the early 80’s, not much had changed in the area over the years and it had unfortunately become run down and forgotten about. So, in 2017 we set out to transform the run-down set of warehouses now known as The Tapestry….and unbeknown to us, this was the start of something beautiful. The birth of The Tapestry acted as a catalyst for the naming of the Fabric District and its ongoing regeneration and what you see around the area today.
Whilst The Tapestry was in the construction phase, we allowed local artists headed up by Jayne Lawless (who created the Dead Pigeon Gallery in our derelict space) to use the top floor as gallery space which caught the imagination of Liverpool’s creative community and led to all the 25,000sqft of space being taken before work had completed. What a flex!
Since then, the area and our community has grown considerably, and it is now a sort after vibrant creative community hub, that’s thriving year after year. We are excited to see more interesting spaces being created in Fabric District to add to the Creative Community that started in our very own building.
